ABB Euler-Auditorium uses professional quality line arrays
The Group Research Center Baden-Dättwil is one of seven research centers of the ABB Group. Every year since 1967, dozens of ideas, technologies and prototypes have left the laboratory. Self-evident that the planning and implementation of the multifunctional Euler auditorium at the ABB research center also focused on product innovation, inventiveness and quality when selecting the multimedia equipment.
Touring speakers without compromise
Together with the project planners, our Swiss colleagues from “promedias AG”, decided to use the professional loudspeakers from our touring product series. The TouringLine compact modules (TLC) are used as a “flown variant” in combination with the 15″ bass extension. The ultra-compact and lightweight 2-way 6.5″ line array modules expand the use of line arrays in areas in which discreet optics and good range are desired, the performance of the larger TouringLine are not necessary. This also applies to the auditorium, where 3 modules and 1 flying bass flank the sides of the podium.
“Super speech intelligibility, small, compact and also elegant, despite the line array in such a room“
(Chris Steiger – CEO promedias AG)
Due to the system impedance of 12 ohms, it is possible to operate up to 6 TLC modules on one power amp channel. Our system electronics provides all the signal processing required for this, enables maximum operational reliability and a first-class sound result. The speaker installation in the auditorium is “driven” by two NT4-K6 DSP amplifiers. This type of amplifier was specially developed to supply applications with medium power requirements, mobile or fixed.
With the Touring loudspeaker model series, we also offer you an absolutely efficient and innovative audio system: no frills, no compromises. Get an overview of our loudspeakers. Of course, we are always available to answer your questions and would be happy to advise you.
