Hong Kong Visual Arts Center meets sound art from Wesel
The Hong Kong Visual Arts Art Museum is located in Hong Kong Park above “Central”, Hong Kong Island and has been promoting local Asian art since it opened in 1992.
The district known as “Central” is a financial- and entertainment center where work and partying go hand in hand. The bars are open until the early hours of the morning and everything happens at a breakneck pace. But there are also hidden oases of peace and culture. Between the skylines, the Visual Arts Center offers an exhibition program that delights the whole family.
Fine Sound art from Wesel
In addition to sculptures, prints and ceramic art from Asia, visitors have also been able to find “sound art” from Germany in the museum since February 2018. Not directly as art objects, but rather as objects from which sound sounds like sensitive “art for the ear”. Honest, solid craftsmanship from Wesel, Germany. To be more precise, speakers from the i.Flex 12.1 models are in the museum. Interesting facts about the art museum
The art museum was converted from an early 20th century building called Cassels Block, a former barracks for British officers at Victoria Barracks. It currently provides an area and facilities for local artists and includes modern artefacts and sculptures. The historic building is listed as a Grade I historic building.
